Our Privacy Statement details the information we collect about you and how we use it, outlines the steps we take to protect the information you entrust to us, and describes your choices with respect to your information. By registering on our Sites, submitting any information to GigNext on our Sites or by otherwise accessing or using any of our systems or Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement and consent to the policies and practices described herein.

GigNext is a global platform that enables the connection of skilled individuals with employers having potential job opportunities. GigNext’s Services gather, evaluate and refer skilled individuals to employment vendors and potential employers, and in this regard GigNext acts as a referrer of these skilled individuals to vendors and potential employers, not as a co-employer. Individuals using our Services are not employed by GlobalLogic; however, it is possible that GlobalLogic or one of its affiliated entities might be a potential employer seeking skilled individuals to fill open job opportunities. GigNext makes no guarantee that our Services will be available in all jurisdictions, nor that any individual will be connected with one or more particular job opportunities, participate in any company’s application or vetting processes, or receive employment with any company through the use of our Services.

2. YOUR RIGHTS AND PREFERENCES

GigNext allows you to exercise your privacy rights and manage how we use your information.

Privacy and data protection laws in different geographic regions give individuals certain rights in relation to their personal information. We conduct our privacy practices according to this Privacy Statement and the relevant laws of the geographic regions in which we interact with you. GigNext encourages you to become familiar with our privacy practices and to contact us to learn more about your privacy rights and how we collect and use your personal information. When used in this Privacy Statement, “personal information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an individual (“data subject”), and includes “personal data” or “personal information” as defined in applicable data protection laws. Data that cannot be associated with you, such as aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information (“Anonymous Information”), is not personal information. GigNext commits to keep Anonymous Information in its de-identified state and will make no efforts to re-identify such data.

GigNext collects certain information directly from you to conduct our business, provide you with access to our Services, improve your experience on our Sites and when using our Services, communicate with you in connection with our Services, and to enhance and improve the operations of our Sites and our Services based on insights we are able to obtain from your information.

GigNext also collects personal information directly from you during the registration and application process. If you choose not to provide certain personal information, we may not be able to provide you with requested Services.

When you use our Services, we may collect or generate certain information in order to facilitate the provision and usefulness of those Services, including:

  • Citizenship and work authorization information reflecting your current status and any limitations on your right to work in a specified location or for a specific role
  • Job opportunity information such as job selection, application submission, scheduling, statuses and outcomes
  • Other information about you that you upload or provide during your use of our Services

C. Sensitive Personal Information.

When using our Services, such as in applying for a job opportunity, we may collect or be provided with information that some jurisdictions consider to be sensitive personal information. Sensitive personal information may include government-issued identification numbers, race or ethnic origin information, political opinions or affiliations, trade union membership, criminal history and convictions, veteran or military status, religious or philosophical beliefs, physical or mental health information, sexual orientation and gender identifiers, genetic data, or biometric data. We endeavor to minimize the amount and type of sensitive personal information that we collect and use. In instances where we are permitted to use sensitive personal information in providing our Services, as required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent to our collection and use of your sensitive personal information.

D. Information from Third Parties and Other Sources.

We may obtain information about you from other sources, including through third party services and organizations to supplement information provided by you.

  • If you access our Services through third party applications or sites, such as a social networking site like LinkedIn, we may collect information about you from that third party site that you have made public via your privacy settings.
  • We may utilize third party partners, such as employment agencies and background check providers to verify information that you provide to us, to further your applications for job opportunities or to manage your potential employment. This supplemental information allows us to verify information that you have provided to us and to enhance our ability to provide you with job opportunity information and our Services.
  • We may also collect details of your interactions with other users of our Services, such as on job boards, in public forums or within our offerings.
  • You may also choose to provide us with access to certain personal information stored by third parties, like social media sites. For example, if offered, you may choose to link and import your social media profile information (e.g., LinkedIn) and by doing so, you authorize us access, collect, store and use this information in accordance with the purposes set forth in this Privacy Statement.

E. Automatically Collected Information.

GigNext may automatically collect some technical and usage information when you interact with us through our Sites or our Services. We use Cookies and other tracking technologies to automatically collect technical information, such as URL, cookie data, IP address, device type, unique device IDs, device attributes, network connection type and provider, network and device performance, browser type and plug-ins, language, operating system and versions, time zone settings, and Services information. We may also collect information about your visits to our Sites or uses of our Services, such as download errors experienced and length of visits to certain pages. When you download, install, or use GigNext, we and our service providers may track and collect certain device-related information (such as your type and device unique ID).

F. Derived Information.

GigNext may use information we have about you to draw inferences and we may then use those inferences to gain a more complete understanding of your preferences. We use preference data to offer you potential choices, make recommendations, or to alert you to products or services, from us or our authorized partners, that may be of interest to you.

G. Children’s Information.

GigNext Services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. If you are aware that we have unintentionally collected information from someone who is underage, please notify us immediately by sending an email to privacy@globallogic.com. By continuing to use our products and Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and are fully able and competent to enter into and accept the terms set forth in this Privacy Statement or that you have had a responsible parent or guardian do so on your behalf.

A. Within our Organization.

GigNext may disclose your personal information to any affiliate within the GlobalLogic family of companies, including subsidiaries, affiliates or sister companies, for use in accordance with the purposes set forth in this Privacy Statement. This sharing of personal information with GigNext affiliates may include combining your personal information gathered by GigNext with information independently gathered by GigNext affiliates into one or more database(s) useable by GigNext and all of its affiliates.

B. Vendors and Other Third Parties.

We provide these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. We may de-identify or aggregate your information, alone or in combination with information from other individuals. Such de-identified or aggregated information will not contain personal information and may be shared freely by GigNext.

We use Cookies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us on your electronic devices.

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local shared objects, device identifiers, and other similar technologies ("Cookies") to collect information about you. Controlling Law: There are many US state-specific privacy laws with new ones coming into effect every year. As GigNext by GlobalLogic is headquartered in and operates from California, we have opted to comply with California’s privacy protections as they are viewed by many to be the most comprehensive in the US. As such, we defer our US privacy standards for US-based individuals to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), and as of January 1, 2023 the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), for personal information and data protection.

Our Processing of US Personal Information:

GigNext collects and has collected in the last 12 months all of the information described herein from and about US residents, which generally falls into the categories listed in the chart in Section 3 to the extent it is personally identifiable. The chart also indicates the individuals whose personal information we collect, the purposes of processing, and the categories of third parties to whom we recently disclosed the data leading up to the effective date of this Privacy Statement.

GigNext does not receive any monetary compensation for data it shares with vendors or service providers. GigNext shares or “sold” (as that term is defined under applicable US privacy regulations) “identifiers” (like IP addresses), “internet or other electronic network activity information” (like information regarding an individual’s browsing interactions on a website), and “commercial information” (like the fact that a browser visited our webpage,) to third parties that assist us, such as marketing or analytics providers. GigNext may receive compensation for de-identified or anonymized data it sells to third parties.

US Privacy Rights:Under applicable US law, you have the right to:

  • Non-discrimination
  • Request access to your personal information as it is processed and stored by us (and also under California’s “Shine the Light” law),
  • Correct or delete your personal information that we hold unless GigNext is legally required to retain it,
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your personal information including sensitive personal information,
  • Lodge a complaint regarding your personal information with us or with any applicable governing authority, and
  • Opt out of the “sale” of your personal information.
